When I first began my journey to learn more about wine and how to appreciate it, the starting point was a friend's birthday party at Wyandotte Winery. Great food was paired spectacularly with their wines. What a concept for me!
I returned several times over the next few years, enjoying tastings of great wines paired with the friendliness and knowledge of wine imparted by owners Robin and Valerie Coolidge. Wyandotte offers a nice variety of dry and sweet wines in both red and white. My initial favorite was Sweet William but I am now partial to their dry reds, including Tower City and Cityscape. And don't miss their Vintage Harbor Reserve, a port style wine that finishes off any meal! For special occasions near the holidays, the Cranberry Harvest is, hands down, the best cranberry wine I have tried (and I have tried several)!
